I grew up in southwestern Michigan, graduating from high school in 1989 before heading off to Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. In 2001, after living in northern Indiana for a few years, my family moved into a house on some family farmland near Waynetown. My wife, Stephanie, currently works as the librarian at Sommer Elementary, and we have three kids in the North Montgomery Schools. My teaching career started in 1994, and I have taught at the middle school and high school levels in Warsaw, Goshen, and Southeast Fountain schools. I have been at NMHS since 2006, and I enjoy my current course load, which includes AP Literature and Composition, Linguistics, Creative Writing, and Newspaper.
