I have been teaching at North Montgomery since 2001. I graduated from Fountain Central high school is 1997 and then went on to college at Purdue University. I graduated from Purdue with my B.S. in August of 2001 and then went back to Purdue to receive my master's degree in Extension Education in 2005. I am currently the FFA advisor for the North Montgomery FFA chapter and when I am not working on FFA activities and events you can find me at home working on the farm with my two kids. My husband and I farm in Clinton, Montgomery, and Boone County and we also raise dairy cattle where we market our homemade butter and homemade milk soap products and our pumpkins.

Learning Lab
I was born and raised in Darlington and have lived in Montgomery County most of my life. I graduated from Darlington High School, Purdue University (Bachelor's) and Indiana State University (Master's). I first worked for North Montgomery from 1972-1975 as an assistant in Special Education. From 1977-2004 I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades at Mt. Zion, Darlington, and Lester B. Sommer Elementaries. In 2004, I 'officially' retired, but soon returned to daily substituting and filling long-term leaves for both North Montgomery and Crawfordsville. This is my second year to monitor the Learning Lab at North Montgomery High School. One aspect of the Learning Lab is the online credit program. The Lab is also a place for students who need assistance redirecting their behavior. My two children graduated from NMHS, Greg Binford (1982) and Greta Binford (1983). Greg is a professor of plant and soil sciences at the University of Delaware and Greta is a professor of biological sciences at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. I have two grandchildren Rebecca Binford, junior at the University of Florida (Business Finance) and John Binford, sophomore at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT (Criminal Justice). Yes, we are a family who loves education! :-) In my spare time I do private tutoring. I love to travel and watch live theater. I also enjoy the computer, TV, movies, and my iPhone. I love nature and hiking or walking outdoors. I play an occasional round of golf and I enjoy bowling. I've played bridge with the same group of women for about 45 years. I am an active member of the Darlington United Methodist Church. My mantra is 'LIVE WELL, LOVE MUCH, LAUGH OFTEN!'

I'm Tom Lutz, and I'm in my 21st year teaching at North Montgomery High School. I teach Chemistry 1, Honors Chemistry, Chemistry 2, and ACP Chemistry. I graduated in 1991 from Wabash College, then did my student-teaching in chemistry at North Montgomery in the fall of 1991. I was hired as a math teacher in 1992, then moved to chemistry in 1997. I grew up in several places around the state - my dad is a retired United Methodist pastor. When I went through junior high and high school we lived in Mexico ... Indiana! (A small town just off U.S. 31.) I went to North Miami High School, graduating in 1987. I also lived in Newville, Leiters Ford, Williamsport, and Craigville. Here at North Montgomery I coach 8th grade football and freshman basketball.
